INTRODUCING STASH
Our involvement
3D animation and rendering, studio photography, international translations, live stream production
GOING BIG.
GOING LIGHT.
In January of 2021, Jetboil introduced the Stash; the lightest, most compact backpacking stove ever made. This all-in-one system featured a 0.8L cookpot, a titanium burner, their patented FluxRing technology, and comes in at just 7.1 oz.
This represented a 40% reduction in weight, while maintaining the rapid boil and fuel efficiency that Jetboil is known for. It was one of their engineering team’s greatest breakthroughs, and was expected to be the biggest product launch in their history.
This marked our first venture into 3D animation and texturing. Once provided with a production model, our team got to work rigging it to move and behave like it would in the real world, and give each piece a realistic texture.
Building on the success of sister company Old Town’s Sportsman line launch, Osborne Media was initially asked to create an animated video that could be used by the sales team to create excitement when introducing the Stash to key accounts.
But it didn’t stop there. We were also hired to shoot, retouch, and mask high resolution product photography to be utilized on product manuals, packaging, print ads, and the online store.
AAAAND
We’re Live
To announce Stash to the world, Jetboil hosted a Facebook live stream where brand managers, evangelists, and engineers who developed and field-tested the Stash could tout it’s key features and answer fan questions in the comments.
In preparation for this, Osborne Media was hired to create the animated elements like the countdown and branded name plates,.
On launch day, we also ran the technical aspects of the live stream, configuring, calibrating and conducting a sophisticated suite of software to bring a team from across the country direct to their consumers.
EL JETBOIL MáS LIGERO.
The Stash was launched to a worldwide audience of “Jet-heads” that trust Jetboil products to perform in the harshest environments - and we wanted to speak directly to them.
Osborne Media was also tasked with creating translations for 16 videos to be used across the globe - including French, Spanish and Japanese.
“WELL DONE. That went perfectly, received tons of great feedback already.”
